Good Luck Jacob!

It’s 1st December and whilst you might be feeling pretty excited about opening the first door on your advent calendar today, the Mavs are getting excited about something very different. Maverick #2, Jacob Kirby, is off to Singapore today with the England Men’s U25 team, Trailblazers, to take part in the Men’s Nations Series and we wish him and all his teammates, the very best of luck!

Since his selection into the touring squad in September, Jacob has been working so hard, alongside the rest of the players, in preparation for this tournament. It’s an incredible opportunity for this young side and in addition to weekends full of training, the squad have also had practice matches against Scotland, Northern Ireland and England Universities and a couple of the players, Jacob included, were also lucky enough to have a run out against the England Roses, who were training for their own series against South Africa this month.

The Men’s Nations Series will be streamed and we’ll be sharing links on our Instagram when we have them. A massive thank you to everyone involved with organising the tour and getting the squad to this stage - the whole EMMNA team, coaches and all the supporters need a big round of applause and thanks to Flyhawk and VYPR for making sure the whole team looks fantastic!
